Any of those help , The problem is that this line:
code :
dic[char] = (1,dic[char]+1)[char in dic]
dic[char] = dic[char] + 1 if char in dic else 1
dic[char] = dic.get(char, 0) + 1
import collections

def countLetter(string):
    print(collections.Counter(string)) # print(dict(collections.Counter(string))) if it must look like a dict

str.format() raises KeyError

seems to work fine The problem is those { and } characters you have there that don't specify a key for formatting. You need to double them up, so change your code to:
code :
    "gamedir"  "str"
    "address"  "{1}"
""".format(addr_list_idx, addr))

Python dict.get() raises KeyError

it fixes the issue So I nailed the problem down. Before this code was put in place there was this one
code :
File "/home/ubuntu/subscription-workers/commands/dr/rebilling.py", line 48, in rebill
    if mt['is_rebill'] == 1:
KeyError: 'is_rebill'
find . -name "*.pyc" -exec rm -rf {} \;

Pandas join raises KeyError / merge raises ValueError

I wish this help you I am not sure where went wrong, but it seems the problem was fixed using the merge function after I forced everything into numeric and changed indentation.

Dictionary raises KeyError on lookup even though key is actually set

this one helps. Under normal circumstances this should not happen.
However you can violate the dictionary contract that the keys must be immutable with respect to equality and hash. Because if the hash changes the objects cannot be found anymore.
code :
class Test:
    def __init__(self, value):
        self.value = value

    def __hash__(self):
        return self.value
>>> t1 = Test(1)
>>> d = {}
>>> d[t1] = 10
>>> t1.value = 2  # t1's hash also changes at this point
>>> d[t1]
KeyError: <__main__.Test object at 0x0000020FCA5AD748>

import pandas as pd

df = pd.DataFrame({'timestamp': ['2019-10-22T15:13:36.000Z']})
L=[['2019-07-16T12:25:07.000Z', '2019-07-16T00:25:07.000000Z', '2019-07-16T13:25:07.000000Z'], ['2019-03-20T09:56:29.000Z','2019-03-19T21:56:29.000000Z','2019-03-20T10:56:29.000000Z'],['2019-08-28T08:26:03.000Z', '2019-08-27T20:26:03.000000Z','2019-08-28T09:26:03.000000Z']]

cinfo = pd.DataFrame(data=L, columns=['c_time', 'start', 'stop'])

cinterval = cinfo.set_index(pd.IntervalIndex.from_arrays(cinfo.start, cinfo.stop, closed='both'))['c_time']

df['c_time'] = pd.to_datetime(df['timestamp']).map(cinterval)
