Selecting Item from First Select Box to Populate Second Select Box

it should still fix some issue I have a form with two select fields. The first select field will list items, the second select field will start empty but be populated by selecting an item from the first and pressing the add button. You would also be able to do the same. You can select an item from the second select field and hit the remove to add it back to the first select field. In the end, I want all the values of the second select field to be in a hidden form box separated by commas. , You can use jquery append() to do it:
code :
$(document).ready(function(){
  $('.add').click(function(){
    $('#select1').find('option:selected').appendTo('#select2');
  });

  $('.remove').click(function(){
    $('#select2').find('option:selected').appendTo('#select1');
  });
});

this will help For first select box you can populate values by default like you have mentioned in above code :
code :
<select class="weekcombo" onchange="populateSecValues(this)">
    <%
        List list= new DataManager().getlist();
        for(int i = 0; i < list.size(); i++) {
            out.write("<option value=\""+ list.get(i)+ "\">"+ list.get(i));
        }
    %>
</select>

<select id="secBox" class="weekcombo">
</select>
function populateSecValues(obj){
       // use here ajax call .. which will populate second box data
     var firstBoxValue = obj.value;
     var urlString ="your_action_url?firstBoxValue="+firstBoxValue ;
     $.ajax({
         type: "POST",
         url: urlString  ,
         success: function(result) {
           console.info("result"+result);
           $("#secBox").html(result);
    }
});
}
<option value ="secBoxValue">secBoxValue</option>

I wish did fix the issue. The "best" way is probably a matter of opinion, but a good way to do it is to use AJAX to populate the 2nd dropdown.
Whereas the first dropdown can be populated with static data, the 2nd can be populated either by generating client-side JavaScript code that fills up the 2nd, or by doing an AJAX call to a Controller method that returns JSON, and then filling up the 2nd dropdown with that data.

Jquery populate second select item with options greater than first select

seems to work fine I think nextAll might be what you want, to select all subsequent siblings of a selected element. e.g.
code :
$('.timepicker').find('option:selected').nextAll()
.clone().appendTo('.timepicker2');

To fix the issue you can do I have two models. One is company and another is products. I want to use these models as two separate select boxes. 1st one is company name and another is their products. If I selected company-1, then I need company-1's products in second select box only. How can I do this? , First retrieve all company list from in controller
code :
 $this->Model->find(list);
 find_product($id)
 {
     $this->Model->find('list',array('company_id'=>$id)));
 }
