## add image in title page of rmarkdown pdf

it fixes the issue I am attempting to create an rmarkdown document. I have finally figured out a way to approach this, although it has taken quite some time. The last thing I would like to be able to do is to add an image to the title page of my pdf document. , I was able to solve this using LaTeX package titling
code :
---
title: "Untitled"
author: "Name"
date: "September 19, 2015"
output:
pdf_document:
includes:
---

This is an R Markdown document. Markdown is a simple formatting syntax for authoring HTML, PDF, and MS Word documents. For more details on using R Markdown see <http://rmarkdown.rstudio.com>.

When you click the **Knit** button a document will be generated that includes both content as well as the output of any embedded R code chunks within the document. You can embed an R code chunk like this:

{r}
summary(cars)

You can also embed plots, for example:

{r, echo=FALSE}
plot(cars)

Note that the echo = FALSE parameter was added to the code chunk to prevent printing of the R code that generated the plot.

\usepackage{titling}

\pretitle{%
\begin{center}
\LARGE
\includegraphics[width=4cm,height=6cm]{logo.png}\\[\bigskipamount]
}
\posttitle{\end{center}}

like below fixes the issue Don't use print, it will add decorative stuff. Note the required double "\n"; check what happens with one only, so you are prepared when you forget it next time
code :
{r, results="asis", echo = FALSE}
i = 1
cat("## Subject", i, "\n")
plot(i)
i = 2
cat("\n\n## Subject", i, "\n")
plot(i)

it fixes the issue You can use the titling package and add \begin{flushleft} before the title and \end{flushleft} afterwards:
code :
---
output:
pdf_document:
fig_caption: false
keep_tex: yes
title: "Multi pricing report"
fontfamily: mathpazo
fontsize: 11pt
- \usepackage{titling}
- \pretitle{\begin{flushleft}}
- \posttitle{\end{flushleft}}
---

I think the issue was by ths following , For full page images you can use the LaTeX package pdfpages. To preamble-latex.tex add:
code :
\usepackage{pdfpages}

\begin{titlepage}
\includepdf{frontcover.png}
\end{titlepage}

## Why Rmarkdown Dynamic TITLE in YAML does not appear in the pdf file

help you fix your problem For closing the conversation of this question I write how has been solved this question. At the beginning I was thinking this issue was related with the code in YAML (where the title was informed from parameters) but eventually I discovered that there was nothing to do that. The problem was that I was using a the function cat() in the varible title that I pass as a parametre and this function changes the value of variable title into NULL.
For knowing exactly all the explanation about how to write dynamic titles in rmarkdown documents redirect yourself to the next entrance: Setting document title in Rmarkdown from parameters
