Vue array updates in developer tools but doesn't re-render

seems to work fine this.$set(this.fields, 0, field); won't do anything as this.fields[0] is already equal to field.
Assuming field.value is an array, it's this step that's making a non-reactive change:
code :
field.value[key] = field.value[key - 1];
field.value[key - 1] = value;
this.$set(field.value, key, field.value[key - 1]);
this.$set(field.value, key - 1, value);
field.value.splice(key - 1, 2, field.value[key], field.value[key - 1]);

IE8 Javascript doesnt run unless Developer Tools is open?

like below fixes the issue Often that's because you left a console.log call in your script. This only works when a debugger is present. You should get a JS error on trying to use it unless you have them turned off.

Force Chrome/Firefox developer tools to render edits more immediately like Firebug

Hope this helps In the Firefox DevTools there is currently no way to let their Inspector do the updates immediately. Though there's already bug 815464 filed to change this behavior.
A better workflow for them is to hit Enter after you've edited the value. Then you can open the editor again by pressing Space. Doing so you don't lose the focus.

this one helps. From react official documentation:
code :
var photographerData = this.state!.photographer;
// this DOES mutate the original array.
var photographerData = [];
window.onload = function() {
  let testArr1 = [1, 2, 3]
  console.log('TestArr1 length before shift: ' + testArr1.length);
  let testArr2 = testArr1;
  console.log('TestArr1 length after shift: ' + testArr1.length);
