this one helps. I created my own test and realized the issue is with the way the plugin has been written, namely that it only accepts one value for the class name, otherwise it will break.
This is because of the following line in the script:
code :
className = '.'+$(this).prop('class');
<div class="profile-panel profile-panel-1st-row profile-panel1">
$('.profile-panel profile-panel-1st-row profile-panel1')
        // ...
var className = options.selector;
<div class="profile-panel profile-panel-1st-row profile-panel1">
<div class="profile-panel-1st-row profile-panel profile-panel1">
var className = '.'+ $(this).prop('class').split(" ").slice(0,1);
var className = options.selector || '.'+ $(this).prop('class').split(" ").slice(0,1);
if(settings.responsive === true) {
    //reset height to auto
    //re initialise

document.getElementById() is returning null, despite being called inside $(document).ready

This might help you Your laplog is used as class. getElementById finds the element by the given id, not class. Replace it with id.
code :
<div id="lapLog"></div>

help you fix your problem This was answered in chat:
The problem is that your init function leaves rendering till last, but the methods before it all expect the elements to be there. The correct order for your init function would be:
code :
init: function() {

should help you out $(document).ready gets triggered by the time the DOM tree was successfully built, similar to calling a script at the very end of the . At that time, images might still be loading, which means the height cannot be calculated yet.
Once the whole document, including images, is loaded, window.onload will be triggered.
