I hope this helps you . I have made the changes on SP and remove output parameter and then call it from PHP code now its working fine.Below changes I made in SP:
code :
DELIMITER $$

    CREATE DEFINER="root"@"localhost" PROCEDURE "GetModelnBrandCodeFromName"(

    _BrandName nvarchar(100),
    -- out _BrandCode int ,
    _ModelName nvarchar(100)
    -- out _ModelCode int

    )
    BEGIN

    -- Declare variables to store result set during query execution :

    declare temp_IntBrandC int;
    declare temp_IntModelC varchar(100);

    Set temp_IntBrandC= (Select CompanyCode From MasterMobileBrand where CompanyName =_BrandName);

      -- select @IntBrandc;

    -- If not, then check if it matches the user agent name
    -- that is usually passed in HTTP headers
    -- For e.g. when Blackberry is the company name the User Agent name
    -- is RIM
    IF (temp_IntBrandC is NULL) then
    Begin

     -- select IntBrandC;
        Set temp_IntBrandC = (Select CompanyCode From MasterMobileBrand where UserAgentName =_BrandName);

        -- print @Intbrandc
    End;
    end if;
    IF (temp_IntBrandC is not NULL) then
    Begin
    -- select @IntBrandC;
        -- SET _BrandCode = temp_IntBrandC ;
        -- select _brandcode;

    -- select Brandcode from mobilemodel where brandcode=temp_IntBrandC limit 1;
        -- Print @brandcode

How can I prevent my Java code from processing if there is a user-input error?

By : user2657394

To fix this issue I am writing a temperature converter that uses a gui. I have it set up to if the user inputs a string or an invalid temperature, an error label appears under the input box. However, the code will still process as if the user inputted a 0. It will still output the conversions. How can I stop it from doing that in the class I have below? , return a null value from catch block e.g
code :
 public double getDoubleValue()
    {
        double returnValue = 0;
        lblMessage.setText(" ");

        try
        {
            returnValue =   Double.parseDouble(txtInput.getText());

        }
        catch (NumberFormatException nfex)
        {
            lblMessage.setText(nfex.toString());
            lblMessage.setForeground(Color.RED);
            return null;
        }
        return returnValue;
    }

User Input Error, no throwing Exceptions or using try{}catch{}

wish helps you I'm trying to create a method that uses a while loop that includes a look ahead method to handle wrong user input: input out of 1-10 range or input a string. I am trying to do this with out throwing exceptions or using try{}catch{}; if possible. I haven't found a post that does not use these and all my attempts have failed so far. A basic idea will work. , There's an error:
