I wish this help you In the above line you are not throwing the capitalized value to the li variable, youare just replacing the value of the actual element:
code :
 for i in li:
     i= i.capitalize()

Capitalizing words in a string using c#

Hope that helps Depending on how often you plan on doing the capitalization I'd go with the naive approach. You could possibly do it with a regular expression, but the fact that you don't want certain words capitalized makes that a little trickier.
code :
var result = Regex.Replace("of mice and men isn't By CNN", @"\b(\w)", m => m.Value.ToUpper());
result = Regex.Replace(result, @"(\s(of|in|by|and)|\'[st])\b", m => m.Value.ToLower(), RegexOptions.IgnoreCase);

Capitalizing words in (Python)?

wish help you to fix your issue The problem in your code is that strings are immutable and you are trying to mutate it. So if you wont to work with loop you have to create new variable.
code :
s = raw_input().strip().split(' ')
new_s = ''
for word in s:
    new_s += s.capitalize()
print new_s
s = raw_input().strip().split(' ')
for index, word in enumerate(s):
    s[index] = .capitalize()
print ' '.join(s)
s = 'hello word'

How do I exclude capitalizing specific words in a String?

I hope this helps you . The problem is that you are comparing each word to the entire array. Java does not disallow this, but it does not really make a lot of sense. Instead, you could loop each word in the array and compare those, but that's a bit lengthy in code, and also not very fast if the array of words gets bigger.
Instead, I'd suggest creating a Set from the array and checking whether it contains the word:
code :
String[] t = {"is","but","a"};
Set<String> t_set = new HashSet<>(Arrays.asList(t));
    if (t_set.contains(wordSplit[i]) {
