In C# How to get Windows Credentials from credential manager

I hope this helps . In short, Windows credentials under the credential manager can only obtain usernames and not passwords. This is determined by the Native underlying API. As for how to get the usernames in Windows Credential, please refer to the below link.
code :
//get the username of "a" credential. username:b, password:123456
var result=CredentialManager.GetCredentials("a", CredentialManager.CredentialType.Windows);
            Console.WriteLine(result.UserName+": "+result.Password);

Jenkins does not detect GIT credentials from Windows Credential manager

will help you Finally found out the solution. to David Ruhmann. The solutions as David has mentioned in his comment to the question, is to go to windows service manager and change the value for "Log On As" column from "Local System" to the Windows Account that you are using to run the batch script from command prompt. In my case since the login user for windows was called "BOB", changing Local System value to BOB and specifying the login password for this user in service manager did the trick.
One more thing to remember would be; For the change to take effect, you will have to restart the Jenkins service.

it fixes the issue There is a Nuget library called CredentialManagement http://nuget.org/packages/CredentialManagement/ from the answer here: Retrieve Credentials from Windows Credentials Store using C#
works perfectly
code :
        var cm = new Credential();
        cm.Target = "mycredentialname";

        if (!cm.Exists())
            Console.WriteLine("cm is null");
        Console.WriteLine("Password: " + cm.Password);
        Console.WriteLine("Username: " + cm.Username);

Save GIT Credentials using Git Credential Manager for Windows - Not working

By : Svreber

seems to work fine There is no magic because the credential helper is for storing https credentials, not ssh passphrase ones for private keys.
Try an ssh agent, as described in "Working with SSH key passphrases".

Git Credential Manager for Windows and credentials in a file

around this issue After asking on the GCM Github issues page it turns out that the GCM does not support reading credentials from a file.
But my goal is to allow non-interactive population of credentials and it does support programmatically adding credentials to the Windows Credential Store that GCM uses under the hood. By using the bundled libraries (binaries here) I was able to put together a Powershell script that allowed us to add credentials during machine provisioning by Chef :
code :
Add-Type -Path 'c:\path\to\gcm-v1.4.0\Microsoft.Alm.Authentication.dll'

$credentials = New-Object -TypeName Microsoft.Alm.Authentication.Credential('someuser', 'secret')
$targetUri = New-Object -TypeName Microsoft.Alm.Authentication.TargetUri('https://git.example.com/projects')
$namespace = "git"
$secretStore = New-Object -TypeName Microsoft.Alm.Authentication.SecretStore($namespace, $null, $null, $null)

$foundCredentials = $null
$secretStore.ReadCredentials($targetUri, [ref] $foundCredentials)
if ($foundCredentials -ne $null) {
    echo "Credentials already found, not inserting"
} else {
    echo "Inserting stored credentials"
    $secretStore.WriteCredentials($targetUri, $credentials)

How do you Configure Python Keyring to pull credentials from Windows Credential Manager on Windows 7?

help you fix your problem Finally got this working. The information from Shaun pointed me in the right direction with installing pywin32. From there I did trial and error with creating test credentials in Windows Credential Manager and testing the Python keyring function.
I only got it working with Generic Credentials which is fine for my purposes. I set Internet or network address to "test". Username was set to "test_user". Password was set to "test123". (Quotes included here for instruction, don't include when entering them.
code :
print keyring.get_password("test","test_user")
