If statement with comparison operators inside another if statement not running

If statement with comparison operators inside another if statement not running

I wish this help you Provided that the expression in that elif statement is exactly the same as the one in the first if statement (len(term_tracker(text, poa_corporate_identifier)) > 0), either only that if statement will run, or any other elif/else that checks for a different condition.
This assumes that term_tracker returns the same results when given the same arguments, so that term_tracker(A, B) == term_tracker(A, B) for all A and B.

Using comparison operators in a PHP 'switch' statement

Using comparison operators in a PHP 'switch' statement

Does that help I have four conditions that I need to go through and I thought it would be best to use the switch statement in PHP. However, I need to check whether an integer is, let's say, less than or equal, or greater than and equal. , A more general case for solving this problem is:
code :
switch (true) {
    case $count <= 20:
        $priority = 'low';
        break;

    case $count <= 40:
        $priority = 'medium';
        break;

    case $count <= 60:
        $priority = 'high';
        break;

    default:
        $priority = 'severe';
        break;
}

I think the issue was by ths following , From your comments it sounds that an output of 1 may be surrounded by whitespace, so one solution is to trim leading and trailing whitespace first, using read:
code :
#!/usr/bin/env bash

export CHCK=$(psql -h localhost -p 5432 -U foo foobar --tuples-only -c "SELECT 1 AS result FROM pg_database WHERE datname='foo_bar_1234'")

# Remove leading and trailing whitespace from the value.
read -r CHCK <<<"$CHCK"

# With whitespace trimmed, comparison with string '1' should now work as intended.
if  [[ $CHCK == '1' ]]; then
  echo "DB exists."
  exit  1
else
  echo "DB does not exist."
fi
if [[ $CHCK =~ ^[[:space:]]*1[[:space:]]*$ ]]; then # ...
if [[ $CHCK == *1* ]]; then # ...
if [[ -n $CHCK ]]; then # ... matches *any nonempty* string
export CHCK=$(psql -h localhost -p 5432 -U foo foobar --tuples-only -c "SELECT 1 AS result FROM pg_database WHERE datname='foo_bar_1234'")

# Remove leading and trailing whitespace from the value.
read -r CHCK <<EOF
$CHCK
EOF

# With whitespace trimmed, comparison with string '1' should now work as intended.
if [ "$CHCK" = '1' ]; then
  echo "DB exists."
  exit  1
else
  echo "DB does not exist."
fi

To fix this issue You do not need the 'is =' portion in the select statement .. see below
code :
select ({CRV_AttributeLog.AnalogValue})
  case 0: "Offline"
  case 1: "Partially Online"
  case 2: "Online"
  default: "Unknown";

hope this fix your issue This is documented in detail in the Expressions chapter:

I wish this helpful for you I wanted to make a simple enhanced if statement (that is the correct definition right?) when a == 1 OR b > 2 it prints out how to say how are you sir in Arabic. , The correct syntax for that looks like this:
code :
if (a == 1 || b > 2 ){
    std::cout << "A" << std::endl;
}
else if (a == 1 && b == 2) {
    std::cout << "B" << std::endl;
}
else {
    std::cout << "C" << std::endl;
}
