Cannot echo strings with "" , '' and /n from PHP to JavaScript

I wish did fix the issue. You're outputting data to JavaScript, so you need to escape it in a way that will be safe for JavaScript to consume. Since JSON is a subset of JavaScript, you can use json_encode() for this purpose.
You should also avoid outputting JS in a double-quoted string; you can have problems with JS values being interpreted as PHP variables.
code :
$description = json_encode($vid["items"][0]["snippet"]["description"]);

How do I let PHP echo "\n" as plain-text for javascript and not have the "\n" create a new line?

To fix this issue The \n is an escape sequence meaning newline. Backslashes are the beginning of escape sequences, to output a backslash then write \\. So you want \\n. Other useful escape sequences include the quote: use \" to put a quote into the string instead of ending the string.

echo "<br/>";

Why does Array("1","2","3").join() convert strings to numbers in JavaScript?

it helps some times It doesn't. Quotes around strings are a notation thing, telling the system that you want to create a string; they're not part of the string itself. So when you join ["1", "2", "3"], you get "123", because that's the content of the three strings. It happens to look the same as if they'd been numbers, but this is only a coincidence.
There are a couple of ways to add quotes to strings. In general, you need to escape them in some way. The easiest way to do this in JavaScript is to put a backslash (\) in front of the character you want to escape, like this:
code :

Why does the "echo" statement support outputting multiple arguments in a single line and the "echo"

I wish did fix the issue. Because echo is not a function. The docs clearly state this:

bash/csh - echo the strings "$#argv" and "#!/bin/csh"

Hope that helps csh - similar to POSIX-like shells - uses single-quoted strings ('...') for literal strings (strings that aren't subject to shell expansions) - in contrast with double-quoted strings ("..."), in which $-prefixed references are expanded (interpolated, instantly).
Therefore, the following command should work:
code :
% echo '$#argv'
% echo '#\!/bin/csh'
% set arg = 3
% echo 'if($#argv < '"$arg"') then'
if($#argv < 3) then
