how can I convert a string '1:05" to a time stamp?

I wish this helpful for you If 1 hour and 5 minutes is the time difference or time_delta you don't need it as a time stamp.
Make a time delta:
code :
time_period = datetime.timedelta(hour = 1, minutes = 5)
when = datetime.datetime.today()
when + time_period
datetime.datetime(2019, 5, 14, 12, 19, 33, 499846)

How do you convert time stamp that has AM/PM at the end of the string?

around this issue Read ?strptime. %p, which only works with %I, not %H. Your time format is also incorrect. Your times are separated by ".", not ":".
code :
as.POSIXct("19-Jun-13 06.00.00.00 PM", format="%d-%b-%y %I.%M.%OS %p")

will help you The "Z" is shorthand for UTC. You can parse this in base R with
code :
x <- as.POSIXct("2014-07-20T05:11:49.998Z",
    format="%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%OSZ", tz="GMT")

it should still fix some issue You can use DateTime.ParseExact or DateTime.TryParseExact
Check below code:
code :
DateTime taskDate = DateTime.ParseExact(txtDate.Text, "dd-MM-yyyy hh:mm", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture);
DateTime taskDate;

if (DateTime.TryParseExact(txtDate.Text, "dd-MM-yyyy hh:mm", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture, DateTimeStyles.None, out taskDate))
{
    //code if date valid
}
else
{
    //code if date invalid
}

How to convert date given as a string into a unix time stamp, including the time zone, and the month is given as a abbre

help you fix your problem If you were to look at the datetime.strptime() documentation on patterns, you'll see that the %b pattern matches abbreviated month names, and %z handles a timezone offset:
code :
>>> from datetime import datetime
>>> dates_to_convert = '08 Jan 2018 08:45:30 +0100'
>>> datetime.strptime(dates_to_convert, '%d %b %Y %H:%M:%S %z')
datetime.datetime(2018, 1, 8, 8, 45, 30, tzinfo=datetime.timezone(datetime.timedelta(seconds=3600)))
