Adjusting graphs with Matplotlib

I wish did fix the issue. I'm having some problems adjusting the font size of the numerical labels on y axis of my graphs. Adjusting the font size only seems to adjust the text in the legend box. , axes itself is an array of axes. So you want to do:
code :
for each_subplot in range(0,4):
    axes[each_subplot].set_xlabel(fontsize='large', fontweight='bold')
for ax in axes:
    ax.set_xlabel(fontsize='large', fontweight='bold')

Hope this helps I have a 2D data set with values between 0.5 and 2. I want to show it with imshow and seismic color map but I need the value 1 to match the white color. , use ColorBar.set_clim():
code :
import numpy as np
import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
data = np.random.random((100,100))*2
plt.imshow(data,cmap='seismic', vmin=0.5, vmax=2)
c = plt.colorbar()
c.set_clim(0, 2)

I think the issue was by ths following , can you plot your lines and the picture on the same axis? for that, use the extent key in plt.imshow()
code :
import numpy as np
import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
from matplotlib.patches import Polygon

fig, ax = plt.subplots()

            [[0,0], [20, 15], [20, 40]],
            closed=True, fill=False, lw=1)
ax.set_xlim(0, 60)
ax.set_ylim(0, 40)

I wish this help you If you don't mind having all the lines thicker then you could adjust the default rc settings.
