hop of those help? I have bunch of urls. And i have to extract all the uri from urls. , Very simple, just use str.split():
code :
>>> str = "https://home/a/b/c"
>>> str.split("https://home/")[1]
a/b/c
urls = ["https://home/a/b/c", "https://home/d/e/f",
        "https://home/g/h/i", "https://home/j/k/l"]

new_urls = [url.split("https://home/")[1] for url in urls]
print(new_urls)
['a/b/c', 'd/e/f', 'g/h/i', 'j/k/l']

Creating a dynamic zip of a bunch of URLs on the fly

seems to work fine So to answer my own question - here is the solution that works for me:
code :
private void ProcessWithSharpZipLib()
{
    byte[] buffer = new byte[4096];

    ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipOutputStream zipOutputStream = new ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipOutputStream(Response.OutputStream);
    zipOutputStream.SetLevel(0); //0-9, 9 being the highest level of compression
    zipOutputStream.UseZip64 = ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.UseZip64.Off;

    foreach (KeyValuePair<string, string> fileNamePair in urls)
    {
        using (WebClient wc = new WebClient())
        {
            using (Stream wcStream = wc.OpenRead(GetUrlForEntryName(fileNamePair.Key)))
            {
                ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipEntry entry = new ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipEntry(ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipEntry.CleanName(fileNamePair.Key));

                zipOutputStream.PutNextEntry(entry);

                int count = wcStream.Read(buffer, 0, buffer.Length);
                while (count > 0)
                {
                    zipOutputStream.Write(buffer, 0, count);
                    count = wcStream.Read(buffer, 0, buffer.Length);
                    if (!Response.IsClientConnected)
                    {
                        break;
                    }
                    Response.Flush();
                }
            }
        }
    }
    zipOutputStream.Close();

    Response.Flush();
    Response.End();
}

Pulling Data From a bunch of urls

seems to work fine The main sub will get the ratings and the number of reviews for each URL in column A and will place them in Column B and C. I hope this help you a little.
code :
Sub main()
Dim l As Long
l = Cells(Rows.Count, 1).End(xlUp).Row
For i = 2 To l
test Range("A" & i)
Next
End Sub

Sub test(URL As Range)
    my_url = URL.Value
    Set html_doc = CreateObject("htmlfile")
    Set xml_obj = CreateObject("MSXML2.XMLHTTP")

    xml_obj.Open "GET", my_url, False
    xml_obj.send
    html_doc.body.innerhtml = xml_obj.responseText
    Set xml_obj = Nothing

    Set Results = html_doc.body.getElementsByTagName("i")

    For Each itm In Results

        If InStr(1, itm.outerhtml, "star-img", vbTextCompare) > 0 Then
            numb_stars = itm.getAttribute("title")
            Exit For
        Else
        End If
    Next
    Set Results = html_doc.body.getElementsByTagName("span")
    For Each itm In Results
        If InStr(1, itm.outerhtml, "reviewCount", vbTextCompare) > 0 Then
            numb_rev = itm.innertext
            Exit For
        Else
        End If
    Next

    URL.Offset(0, 1) = numb_stars
     URL.Offset(0, 2) = numb_rev
End Sub

How to replace a bunch of URLs with the first URL of that list

help you fix your problem .replace interprets a number of special sequences starting with $ in the replacement string, but $0 is not one of them.
If you want to extract substrings from a match, you need capturing groups (( ... )). Anything matched by them is available as properties on the match object as well as $1, $2, ... in a replacement string.
code :
str.replace(/\[rotate=([^;\]]*)(?:;[^\]]*)?\]/g, '$1')
\[rotate=      // find '[rotate=', followed by
(  [^;\]] *  ) // 0 or more characters that are not ';' or ']'
               // (and remember this part as $1),

(?:            // group, but don't capture
   ;           //   a literal ';'
   [^\]] *     //   0 or more characters that are not ']'
)? // this group is optional
\]             // a literal ']'

Mask A bunch of Image URLs

like below fixes the issue If you are using Apache, you can do this without PHP by using either mod_rewrite or mod_proxy.
Quoting from http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/rewrite/avoid.html#proxy
code :
RewriteRule "^/?images(.*)" "http://imageserver.local/images$1" [P]
ProxyPass "/images/" "http://imageserver.local/images/"
ProxyPassReverse "/images/" "http://imageserver.local/images/"
location /some/path/ {
    proxy_pass http://www.example.com/link/;
}

How's a simple way to download a bunch of URLs into S3?

To fix this issue The way I would do it is:
Make an Excel spreadsheet of the filenames Create a formula that creates a copy command with the filename (see below) Launch an Amazon EC2 Linux instance in the same region as the bucket. The t2.micro is included in the free tier, but has relatively small network bandwidth. I'd splurge on a t2.large, but launch it as a Spot instance and you'll only pay a few cents. It depends whether you want to save time or save a few cents. Connect to the EC2 instance and paste the commands from Excel When finished, terminate the EC2 instance (it is charged per second)
code :
wget <URL>; aws s3 cp <filename> s3://my-bucket/<filename>; rm <filename>;
