wish help you to fix your issue Based on your requirements, TestCafe Studio will definitely meet your requirements to auto-generate all proper web page selectors. Its Visual Test Recorder will automatically generate selectors for your actions.
Furthermore, the TestCafe Studio Test Editor allows you to choose a different selector type from many auto-generated selectors, which will better meet your page design and architecture.

To fix the issue you can do Usually I use nuget for all my dependencies. When I fork a project I will deploy it on nuget and also on symbol source. In this way you can step inside the dependency source without problems.
For more information on symbol source and nuget see also: Creating and Publishing a Symbol Package. To enable symbol source debug see http://www.symbolsource.org/Public/Home/VisualStudio.

I wish this help you TestCafe first appeared as a paid, standalone tool. It had several features besides the test runner: the Control Panel, a visual interface for creating, modifying and running your tests, and the Visual Test Recorder for recording tests by pointing and clicking through the test scenario in the browser.
In 2015 we decided to release the TestCafe core as an open-source project. The last major paid version release (v15.1) was in summer 2015. After that, it switched to a maintenance-only mode. You can find the latest paid version at https://testcafe.devexpress.com.

I hope this helps . I found a lot of introductions to parameterized tests/ test cases for test cafe, but the syntax is completely different to the one I am using. I guess they're for the discontinued paid version. How can I do the same thing with the free version? I'm not looking for user roles specifically, I want to write tests with parameters in general. , Do you want to do something like this? This works for me perfectly
code :
import { Selector } from 'testcafe';

fixture `Your fixture`
.page `http://some_url.com`

const testCases = [
    { name: 'name1', param: 'param1' },
    { name: 'name2', param: 'param2' }
    ...
];

for (const c of testCases) {
    test(`Test ${c.name}`, async t => {
        yourTestMethod(c.param)
    });
}

help you fix your problem You can use the NODE_OPTIONS environment variable to enable remote debugging:
code :
docker run -it --rm -p 9229:9229 -e NODE_OPTIONS="--inspect-brk=0.0.0.0:9229" -v /host/path/to/tests:/tests testcafe/testcafe 'chromium --no-sandbox' /tests/test.js
