Select one item from Series and keep the index

around this issue If I select a single item from a pd.Series using either .loc or just straightforward indexing, a single value is returned. , Use double [] for select by one element list:
code :
print (s.loc[[10]])
10    A
dtype: object

it should still fix some issue Assuming that myselectlist1 is the name of a select list defined in an accessor, you want:
code :
self.myselectlist1_element.options[0].click

it should still fix some issue Adding a category index to the tooltip template would definitely help here. Since this is not available now, I'd recommend transforming the data into an array of objects that fully describe each data point:
code :
[{
    date: new Date('2016-11-27'), name: 'Account 1', sum: 0, total: 0
}, {
    date: new Date('2016-11-27'), name: 'Account 2', sum: 0, total: 0
}, {
    date: new Date('2016-11-27'), name: 'Account 3', sum: 2.5, total: 1
},
...
]
<kendo-chart-series-item-tooltip>
  <template kendoSeriesTooltipTemplate let-dataItem="dataItem">
    <span>Items: {{dataItem.total}}</span>
    <span>Total: {{dataItem.sum | currency:'USD':true:'1.2-2'}}</span>
  </template>
</kendo-chart-series-item-tooltip>
[{
    date: new Date('2016-11-27'), name: 'Account 3', sum: 2.5, total: 1
}, {
    date: new Date('2016-11-28'), name: 'Account 1', sum: 2, total: 3
}, {
    date: new Date('2016-11-29'), name: 'Account 2', sum: 3, total: 2
}, {
    date: new Date('2016-11-30'), name: 'Account 2', sum: 5, total: 2
}]

I wish this help you I'm trying to get the index of 6th item in the Series I have. , You could get it straight from the index
code :
s.index[5]
s.index.values[5]
s.index.values[s.values.argsort()[5]]
s.sort_values().index[5]
s.nsmallest(6).idxmax()

wish helps you I've created a combobox with Ext JS and it's doing proxy request with Ajax to display items. All works fine but the thing I need to write a query to be able select items of combobox with indexed number value. , You have to assign an identifier to the combo box :
code :
{ // Combobox
    xtype   :   'combo',
    action  :   'actionComboBox',
    ............
    id      :   'comboboxId' // <= Here
},
var combobox = Ext.getCmp("comboboxId");
var comboboxValue = combobox.getValue();

fixed the issue. Will look into that further IIUC,
we can use transform which allows you to do groupby operations while maintaing the index:
code :
s = (df.groupby(['order','sku'])['ext price'].transform('sum')
/ df.groupby('order')['ext price'].transform('sum'))
print(s)
0     0.409342
1     0.403249
2     0.187409
3     0.429090
4     0.034942
5     0.429090
6     0.424170
7     0.111798
8     0.791222
9     0.134058
10    0.056063
11    0.018657
