Unit Test Won't Run Tests

Unit Test Won't Run Tests

To fix the issue you can do You were missing self in a few places in the tests. Also, Circle(self, r=1) should be Circle(r=1). The indentation seemed wrong too, but I'm not sure if that happened when you copy pasted the code. You can double check that too.
This works:
code :
class Circle:

    def __init__(self, r=1): self.radius = r

    def serRadius(self, r): self.radius = r

    def getRadius(self): return self.radius

    def area(self): return 3.14 * self.radius * self.radius

    def circumference(self): return 2 * 3.14 * self.radius

import unittest

class TestCircleMethods(unittest.TestCase):

    def setUp(self):
        print('\nsetUP')
        self.circle = Circle(r=1)

    def tearDown(self):
        print('tearDown\n')

    def test_area(self):
        print('Test Area\n')
        self.assertEqual(self.circle.area(), 3.14)

    def test_circumference(self):
        print('Test Cirumference\n')
        self.assertEqual(self.circle.circumference(), 6.28)

if __name__ == '__main__':
   unittest.main()

Does that help Refactor the setup to another method and call that method from both tests. Tests should not call other tests.

I wish this helpful for you As a general rule of thumb models are unit tested, controllers are functionally tested and integration tests are done with views. If you're using RSpec you'll have model, controller and view specs - but essentially testing the same stuff.
You can always mock actions (with gems like Mocha or Flexmock) to avoid having calls to methods actually do anything - but you want to make sure the expected behavior is happening. (E.g. a call is made to MyClass.create or MyClass.destroy). It is especially true of controller/view tests where I often will mock a call to a model.

Does that help I used to be able to launch all my Selenium2 WebDriver tests in Ruby on Rails via 'rake test:units'. But recently, my test case(s) wont be found anymore. I dont get any notification or error message. Traced, the test just ends after 'Execute test:units' , FYI: It was unconventional naming.
code :
File: foo_bar_test.rb
Class: FooBarTest
Method: test_foo_bar

Any of those help Please keep in mind that in Visual Studio 2012, Moles framework has been replaced with Fakes. Here is how to migrate: http://www.hoonzis.com/fakes-is-new-test-isolation-framework/

I hope this helps you . You can open your HTML tests in Selenium IDE, following File > Export Test Case As... > Ruby (Test/Unit), then save the exported ruby file.
You have to focus on the Selenium IDE, or you won't see the correct menu if you're using Firefox on Mac.
