How to keep the variable from returning to original value each time I use the onClick event

How to keep the variable from returning to original value each time I use the onClick event

Hope that helps Your HTML submit button will refresh the page every time you press it, thus re-running your javascript and resetting the balance to 400. To fix this, change the button type from "submit" to "button".

Share : facebook icon twitter icon
Passing variable from OnClick event to other OnClick event

Passing variable from OnClick event to other OnClick event

it fixes the issue I dont know why you dont just use a class variable but anyway you can try this:
code :
 setTag(Object tag)
    //Sets the tag associated with a view.

getTag(Object tag)
//gets the tag associated with a view.

thus place anything you want to save for example view.setTag(tweet);

then in the other onclick yo can get the raw object and probably have to cast it to what you want. using view.getTag();

like below fixes the issue The problem is when you are executing the click event the variable currEvent will have the last value which is your problem.
The correct approach would be to bind the data to the circle.
code :
var myCircle = svg.selectAll(".dots")
.data(eventList).enter().append("circle")//make as many circle as their are events in the eventList. This will bind the data to the circle.
  .attr("class", "dots")//set a class to circle for selection to work
  .attr("cx", function(d, i) {
    return (i * 100)
  })
  .attr("cy", function(d, i) {
    return (i * 100)
  })
  .attr("r", 5)
  .attr("stroke-width", 0)
  .attr("fill", "red");
myCircle.on({
  "click": function(d) {
    //here d will give the bound object
    console.log("Hello! currEvent.stateId=", d.stateId.toString());
    console.log("currEvent = ", d);
  }
});

script
code :
data: {
      name: $name
    },

not

data: {
      $name: $name
    },
<script>
function check_carmake(name) {
  $name = name.value;
  $.ajax({
    type: "GET",
    url: 'ajaxaddcarmake.php',
    data: {
      name: $name
    },
    success: function(result) {
      if (result == 1) {
        alert("Car make name already present");
      }
    },
    error: function(err) {
      alert(err);
    }
  });
}
</script>
<?php
session_start();

if (isset($_SESSION['username1'])) {
    include("../config/database.php");
    $name = $_GET['name'];
    $query = "select * from  add_car_make where name='$name'";
    $result = mysql_query($query) or die(mysql_error());
    echo $query;
    $rows = mysql_num_rows($result);
    if ($rows > 0) {
        echo 1;
    } else {
        echo 0;
    }
}

help you fix your problem If you know the date before the JavaScript you can set a variable outside of the function to the original date. When the checkbox is unlocked simply put the original variable set outside back into the input field. The other alternative is to have another input field which is hidden. Called temp date or original day and use that to populate the original input on untick.

around this issue Store the name as a data attribute along with the value so you can switch back and forth between them:
