I hope this helps . I have an Date object..now i want to add no of days to that date object.. so how that can be done..Actually using Calender object that can be done i know.. but in my case i haven't used calender object..instead only used date object.. , You can add Day using below
code :
Calendar c1 = Calendar.getInstance();
c1.add(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH, 1);
Date dtStartDate=o.getStartDate();
SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm");
Calendar c = Calendar.getInstance();
c.setTime(dtStartDate);
c.add(Calendar.DATE, 3); // number of days to add
String dt = sdf.format(c.getTime()); // dt is now the new date
Toast.makeText(this, "" + dt, 5000).show();

To fix this issue What you have implicitly done is using the toString()-method of java.util.Date. Why not like in your first approach?
code :
File fileNameDat = new File(df.format(cal.getTime()) + ".dat");
File fileNameIdx = new File(df.format(cal.getTime()) + ".idx");

it fixes the issue JavaScript using the below call, I found out that the month argument counts starting from zero.
code :
new Date(2015, 3, 1);  // that's the 1st April 2015!
endDate.getMonth() + 1
var endDate = new Date("2015-05-08");
var endDate = new Date();

should help you out I'm trying to disable some days using setDisabledDays(Calendar[] days) method of wdullaer's material datetime picker, an alternative datetime picker for Android. , To create the Calendar is easy:
code :
Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance();
// set to March 5th 2018
cal.set(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH, 5);
cal.set(Calendar.MONTH, Calendar.MARCH);
cal.set(Calendar.YEAR, 2018);
// March 5th 2018
LocalDate date = LocalDate.of(2018, Month.MARCH, 5);
LocalDate date = LocalDate.now();
Calendar cal = DateTimeUtils.toGregorianCalendar(date.atStartOfDay(ZoneId.systemDefault()));
