I hope this helps you . Maven never re-downloads releases - 1.0 is considered final and new releases should use a new version.
If the module B is still under development, you should use the version 1.0-SNAPSHOT - snapshots are a special Maven version that will check for updates, and when deployed is stored with the timestamp and build number for tracking.

this will help The fact is Maven comes already with a local repository (~/.m2 on linux boxes). If you don't have access to an external repo, you just have to install your jars in the local repo, with this command
code :
mvn install:install-file -Dfile=<path-to-file> -DgroupId=<group-id> -DartifactId=<artifact-id> -Dversion=<version> -Dpackaging=<packaging>

it fixes the issue A local repository is a local directory structure that caches artifacts downloaded from remote repositories, or those that are manually installed (eg from the command line option).
A remote repository is a web service (defined by a URL) that contains versioned artifacts. This might be as simple as an Apache server, or a full-blown Maven repository, such as Artifactory, that allows uploading, permissions based on a user directory, etc.

fixed the issue. Will look into that further The dependency has a snapshot version. For snapshots, Maven will check the local repository and if the artifact found in the local repository is too old, it will attempt to find an updated one in the remote repositories. That is probably what you are seeing.
Note that this behavior is controlled by the updatePolicy directive in the repository configuration (which is daily by default for snapshot repositories).
