it fixes the issue Having two checkouts to the same directory tree won't work. If you check out your source, and try to check out the OSS project source, any directory they have in common will fail, saying it's already a working directory for a different project.
If you can gather the css, xml, xsl etc. into a common directory, you can put those in a single directory in your own project's svn, and then check them out into a directory in the working directory of the OSS project.

I hope this helps . There are on the order of 10²⁰ different states in checkers, and you need to play a whole game for every update, so it will be a very, very long time until you get meaningful action values this way. Generally, you'd want a simplified state representation, like a neural network, to solve this kind of problem using reinforcement learning.
Also, a couple of caveats:

To fix the issue you can do
I see a lot of setup involved, and looks to me either outdated or not quite mantained.
Is there any open source implementation of APL?

Does that help I'm experimenting with an APL interpreter in JavaScript (http://github.com/ngn/apl), runs on node.js or in a browser. It can do basic stuff, like compute a generation of Conway's game of life, but it's early to tell if it can turn out into a decent implementation.
XPS open source implementation?

XPS open source implementation?

seems to work fine I know of two open source implementations of XPS parsing and rendering: there is GhostXPS for use with Ghostscript, and MuXPS. MuXPS is a fork of GhostXPS which is based on the MuPDF graphics library instead. MuXPS is still very new, but you can find the source in the MuPDF git repository.
