With these it helps Depending on how young the kids you are teaching are I would just go with a simpler language like python.
Here is a free book that teaches all the basics and is only about 200 pages long: http://www.greenteapress.com/thinkpython/thinkpython.html

I hope this helps you . Any well-designed application could use any or all of those concepts. Language-specific books have a tendency to focus exclusively on language details (for good reason) and generally neglect basic design principles. Another important point is that delegates, generics, reflection, etc. all have their place, but they shouldn't be implemented in an application just "because". That can cause unnecessary complexity.
All of that said, pick a project that interests you. Even better, something that you would actually like to use. Then, before even coding, think about how you should structure the application so that it is easy to modify later and add features. If you're putting all the code in the form/code-behind page, you're probably doing something wrong.

will help you HTML is merely markup. It's more about data and layout in the particular space of browsers and the web. There's not much logic involved. There's nothing like looping or conditional constructs. It helps to know something about HTTP and how browser clients and servers communicate, but that's it.
Python, Ruby, and every other general purpose language out there include those extra complications that involve logic. They span more problem spaces than HTML, so they have to be more flexible and powerful.

it helps some times This is a really broad question but lets see.
The misconception about people in technology is that they are all geniuses who know everything about technology. This is not the case. Tech people specialize. They go out of their way to learn as much as possible about a specific piece of the overall big picture. Over the course of a technologists career they build a library of materials to refer to when they have questions about specific topics.
