hop of those help? Imagine you have deployed your app and then you design some cool skins. You do not want to redeploy the whole app just the skins. You just copy the XAML and skin is loaded - with static resource this is not possible.

it fixes the issue Add Image to your project then set Build Action to Resource Add Image to your xaml, e.g.

fixed the issue. Will look into that further I'm developing windows phone 8.1 application. I have map screen. this screen was working perfect but now I'm getting this exception on this screen just. , Zoomlevel value of mapscontrol should be between 1 to 20

fixed the issue. Will look into that further You can use the normal property element syntax for markup extensions. See Markup Extensions and WPF XAML. It looks like this:
