may help you . Although immutability is good, it is not necessarily going to improve latency. Ensuring low-latency is likely to be platform dependent.
Other than general performance, GC tuning is very important. Reducing memory usage will help GC. In particular if you can reduce the number of middle-aged objects that need to get moved about - keep it object either long lived or short lived. Also avoid anything touching the perm gen.

hope this fix your issue This might sound facetious but... if you are developing a CMS system (or in fact any system) for yourself then you should focus entirely on the needs of your immediate projects.
What I mean by this is that possibly the greatest advantage of developing your own system is that it doesn't have any of the uneccessary features (and bugs) that you dont use.

help you fix your problem I work in a company where I have to tell designers as well. So despite any hard mapped check list, it always helps if you make the designer understand a bit on how the Android works.
Don't forget that color codes, XML drawables (borders, gradients) and 9-patch are way more efficient than static PNGs.

I hope this helps you . I had to change code to nanos to see results. Running in Eclipse I get final number of ~120,000 ns. Running in Windows Command Prompt I get ~700,000 ns on a clear prompt (right after a cls command), but ~2,000,000 ns when it has to scroll.
Writing to console is synchronous, and must wait for scrolling and printing to complete, so don't log to console, or only log very minimal output there.
