Hope that helps You might particularly check for functions that keep a read-lock (unfinished cursor). That would block the commit from the update function. Note that there is a dedicated mailing list for Python-sqlite problems: http://groups.google.com/group/python-sqlite

I wish this helpful for you Do you have another connection elsewhere in your code that you use to begin a transaction that is still active (not committed) when you try to commit the operation that fails?

This might help you Chrome locks the database when it is open. I have closed it and its started working.

This might help you It is likely that another process is using the credentials.db file. The credentials.db file exists in your user config directory which you can find by running gcloud info.
On linux you can see what process is using a file with the
sqlite3.OperationalError: database is locked error

this will help Is Google Chrome open while you're trying to do this? Sometimes you can't write to a file that another process is already using, and it will say it's locked.

wish helps you I'm not sure if this will help anyone, but I figured out a solution to my own Locked Database problem.
I use PyCharm and found that several instances of the script I was working on were all running. This was usually due to errors in the code I was testing, but it stayed active (and therefore the connection to the db was still active). Close out of those (stop all the processes) and try again - it has worked every time for me!
