With these it helps Mozilla's wiki has a section of the Firefox page that gives the mappings you're looking for, but it only covers the already-released versions.
Another page called Releases lists upcoming versions and their codenames, but doesn't indicate the underlying XULRunner version.

seems to work fine This error message indicates that the extension is not marked as compatible with Firefox 9.0.1, it is really only about extension metadata. Typically the install.rdf file of your extension will contain something like this:

Existing extensions may run, with or without modifications in such a xulrunner app. Well, likely with modifications, as most extensions use APIs specific to Firefox or Thunderbird or ...

Does that help _MSC_VER 1800 is Visual Studio 2013 and 1600 is Visual Studio 2010. Both compilers are not compatible to each other in C++ mode, so you'll need to recompile either your project or the SDK so that compilers match.
1800 says to me that the xulrunner SDK was build using VS2013, which is confirmed by the docs, while your project still uses VS2010. (I guess when you tried VS2012, it complained about 1700 not 1600?)
