this will help Well, I found the cause for this behavior. Apparently, when I imported ModelAndView, I accidentally imported it from org.springframework.web.portlet instead org.springframework.web.servlet.
anyway for your feedback.

code :
ModelAndView model = new ModelAndView(new RedirectView("contact"));

To fix the issue you can do While I think it's a bad idea, yes, you can put it in your view and then use angular.fromJSON or JSON.parse on the JSON string returned from your webserver. That will transform it into a JavaScript object that you can use. By doing it this way, you're making your app more or less un-dynamic. It kinda defeats the whole purpose of using Angular in the first place.

this will help You don't get a ModelAndView object in AJAX. Spring uses HandlerMethodReturnValueHandler instances to handle your handler method's return value. For ModelAndView, it uses ModelAndViewResolverMethodReturnValueHandler. For @ResponseBody, it uses RequestResponseBodyMethodProcessor. These are checked in a specific order and the one for ModelAndView has higher priority. Therefore, when you return a ModelAndView, Spring will add the model attributes to the full Model and then resolve your view name to, probably, a jsp and write the response from that jsp, giving you some HTML. Since AJAX just sees the response from the request, it will see HTML.
If you want to return JSON, don't return a ModelAndView, return the model object directly or write JSON directly to the response yourself.

Any of those help Use redirect:/url to some other method and return the view.
When redirecting the model attributes won't available in new method so to get that in redirected method set it in RedirectFlashAttributes.
